Webinar: Develop a Meaningful Cyber Risk Remediation Programme with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework

22 January 2020

Explore the impact and fundamental value of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, with Secrutiny Founder, Simon Crumplin, and former MITRE engineer, Jared Phipps on February 27th.

The MITRE ATT&CK framework has been a globally accessible knowledge base of adversary tactics and techniques used by our industry for some time; but, did you know it can drive a meaningful cyber risk remediation program to mitigate cyber attacks?

In this webinar, we will be exploring how you can leverage the MITRE framework to assess your cyber maturity against security standards such as NCSC 10 Steps, and define a prioritised roadmap for addressing critical gaps in your security based on common, high-frequency tactics and techniques.

The ATT&CK knowledge base, which is based on open-source threat intelligence, breaks full cyber attack lifecycles into more granular detail, presenting tactic categories with hundreds of corresponding techniques as sub-categories. It aims to describe an adversary’s steps at a high enough level to be applied widely across platforms, but still maintain enough details to be technically useful.

So far, so good?
It’s an incredibly useful tool for security analysts to leverage when trying to analyse attackers’ actions. However, it’s not without its challenges. How many of us really know how to use it and exploit it to its full potential?

Simon Crumplin, Founder of Secrutiny, and SentinelOne’s VP Worldwide Sales Engineering, Jared Phipps (who worked at MITRE itself as an information security engineer) will be using their combined 17 years in cyber security to demystify the MITRE ATT&CK framework and reveal its true potential for threat hunting and risk remediation.

This session is for you if:

  • You’re suffering from alert fatigue and conflicting priorities
  • You want to effectively determine your organisation’s risk appetite
  • You want to define cyber risk remediation priority based-on evidence
  • You want to invest in technology that helps employees be more proactive
